North Prairie jumped out to an early lead by scoring a pair of runs on four hits, but Dousman’s pitcher, Matt Brissette, settled in and threw shutout ball while scattering 5 hits and a walk for the remainder of the game. The offensive bright spot included a pair of soubles by Python right fielder, Trenton Schilling.
Meanwhile the Frogs managed made use of their 6 singles and 6 walks. They scored a single run in the 3rd and it took until the 7th for Dousman to tie things up. And, in the 8th, they tacked on three more runs on 3 singles, a walk, and a HBP.
Final score: Dousman 5 – North Prairie 2.
Bright mid-day sun generally makes photography a challenge, but I was pretty pleased with the day’s shots. There were plenty of opportunities for action shots on the basepaths and in the outfield.
