After the morning contest between Waterford and Dousman, I scooted over to Jefferson to catch the remainder of the game between the Lake Mills Grays and Jefferson Blue Devils.
While the Grays struggled at the plate with just one hit, the Blue Devils showed some pop with a pair of doubles, a home run, and 8 singles.
Final score: Jefferson 8 – Lake Mills – 0
Jefferson scored single runs in the 2nd and 8th, and put up crooked numbers in the 5th (2) and 6th (4). In the 2nd, Jefferson got things started with a leadoff double (Heath Renz) followed by a groundout and a sac fly. Jefferson scored two more runs in the 5th through small ball. In the 6th, a leadoff home run by Tyler Butina stretched the lead to 4-0. A double by Jared Vogel and three singles extended the lead to 7-0. In the 8th, the Blue Devils added their final run with a single and three walks.

In the hit department, Renz had a pair of hits including the double. Isiah Hoffman also had a multi-hit game with three singles (and two runs scored).
