For this Saturday afternoon game between the Wisconsin Dells Rivermen and host Cross Plains Businessmen, the lighting was excellent. After the initial purge of photos, I still had 300 that I liked. Ultimately, I still ended up with about 135 photos that I want to share.
The game itself was very interesting; it was like two games in one. After 5 innings Wisconsin held a narrow lead of 3-2. For the remainder of the game, Cross Plains could not push any more runs across, while the Rivermen scored 11.
Final Score: Rivermen 14 – Businessmen 2
Four of the Dells hitters had two hits apiece: Carter Syverson, Payton Steiner, Hudson Turner, and Blake Weaver (single & double). Steiner scored 4 times, and Turner and Brady Henry scored three runs.
The standout performance was Adam Leonhard who went 5-6 with a pair of doubles, and six RBIs.
Rivermen’s pitching was also standout. Payton Steiner and Carter Syverson struck out 11 Businessmen and walked just 3.
Despite managing just two runs, they still put together 10 hits including two by Kyle Pape and Hunter Schram who went 3-3 with a double.
