2026-08-04 Saukville Saints at Slinger Stingers (RRL)

I attended this weekday game by request of one of the players. A 7:30 start and cloudy skies filled with rain dimmed (pun intended) my chances of getting alot of decent photos. But, by cranking up the ISO I was able to get a nice handful of half-way decent shots.

My one key takeaway from the 2026 season is to avoid shooting games that start after 7:00pm. But I digress.

Slinger got things started in the bottom of the first by scoring one run on a pair of walks followed by a single.

The 3rd was a rough inning for Saukville as Slinger brought nine batters to the plate, and scored 6 runs on four singles, a walk, and a HBP.

In the 4th, Slinger tacked on two more runs. After a single and a walk, a couple wild pitches and a groundout brought those baserunners around to score.

In the top of the 6th, Saukville got on the board and scored a run by stringing together a single, walk, and two more singles to start the inning. Consecutive ground outs brought in two more.

In the bottom of the 7th, Slinger led off with a Nolan Breuer double to center and a pair of walks to load the bases. A fielder’s choice brought in one more run.

Final score; Slinger 10 – Saukville 3

  • I am always interested in adding to my Wisconsin baseball memorabilia collection – especially schedules, programs, photos, RPPC (real-photo) postcards, etc. Other unique items are of interest too, especially pre-1970.
