2026-08-15 Hartford Hawks at Kewaskum A’s (RRL)

As part of the 2026 Rock River League playoffs, Hartford traveled north and east to meet up with Kewaskum. Kewaskum is the #1 seed and Hartford is the #2 seed for the Northern Division.

Unfortunately, this game was not particularly competitive as Kewaskum dominated from the mound and at the plate. The A’s starting pitcher, Andy Neu, threw 8 scoreless by scattering 7 hits and surrendering just one walk while striking out 9. For the ninth, Arthur Liebau brought smoke, striking out the three batters he faced and completed the shutout.

At the plate, Kewaskum scored every inning except the 1st and 7th. In the 2nd, the A’s sequenced a single – fly out – single – fly out – single to score their first run. In the 3rd, they took an easier path when Kingston Grisolono tripled and the next batter singled. In the 4th, Kewaskum added three more runs when a Jalen Gellings triple scored two, and then scored when the next batter singled to left.

Two more runs scored in the 5th on a single, single & error, and another single. In the 6th, Harry Steldt doubled to score Dylan Detert, who reached base on a leadoff error.

In the 8th, Kewaskum added four more runs when six consecutive batters reached base. Highlights include a one-out double by Dylan Detert, and a two-run homer to left by Harry Steldt.

Final score: Kewaskum 12 – Hartford 0.

Despite being held scoreless, the Hawk managed to load the bases in the 1st and 6th. In the first, an inning ending double play thwarted a golden scoring opportunity. And, in the 6th, Hartford loaded the bases, but with two outs, a strikeout ended the inning.

Kewaskum’s notable hitters come from the first half of the lineup. Leadoff hitter, Dylan Detert, went 2-5 (1B,2B) with a run scored. In the two-spot, Jalen Gellings also when 2-5 (1B,3B) with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Harry Steldt went 3-5 (1B, 2B, HR) with 4 RBIs and a run scored. Five-hole hitter, Sean Gregorius, when 5-5 with an RBI and two runs scored. Mike Aielllo and Griff Lietzau also had two hits apiece.
