This post is a tribute to ballparks called home to many of Wisconsinโs amateur baseball clubs. If you click on any photo, text below the photo identifies where the ballpark is located.
Originally, I was going to add commentary for each ballfield, but I’ve decided to showcase select game experiences throughout the off-season.
I first started attending amateur ball games at the tail end of the 2024 season. I distinctly recall watching a game in Rome and then the Land O’ Lakes baseball playoffs in West Bend.
Throughout the 2025 season I photographed 70 ballgames at more than 50 different ballfields. Some of the thousands of photos were posted on Facebook, but I wanted a better resource.
Over the winter of 2025-26, I got this blog set up and a Facebook group started, which allowed me to post photos throughout the 2026 season.
Rewind: Over the past couple years, Iโve been expanding my Wisconsin sports memorabilia collection to include amateur baseball. Items include real photo postcards (RPPC) from the first half of the 1900s. One of those postcards shows a game in progress in Caroline. In the foreground is the ballgame. In the background is a barn and church. In 2025, because of the postcard, I visited Caroline for a ballgame. Interestingly, the barn and church are still there.
Making the connection: That visit to Caroline incentivized me to get a drone so I could take similar photos of ballparks and games in progress.
So, here we are. This post is a tribute to ballparks called home to many of Wisconsinโs amateur baseball clubs. If you click on any photo, text below the photo identifies where the ballpark is located.
More to come in 2027.
- I am always interested in adding to my Wisconsin baseball memorabilia collection โ especially schedules, programs, photos, RPPC (real-photo) postcards, etc. Other unique items are of interest too, especially pre-1970.
