2026-07-05 Wisconsin Dells at Cazenovia (HTL)

For this Sunday’s travels, I planned a trip to cover games in Cazenovia and Reedsburg, but plans changed as the Caz-Dells game unfolded and I was compelled to see it to completion.

In the bottom of the 2nd, Caz got the scoring started when starting pitcher Issac Jennings led off the inning with a homer to left.

In the top of the 4th, the Dells tied to scored when Cooper Whitehurst singled and Talan Pichler doubled to left.

The Reds retook the lead in the bottom of the 4th after the first of two walks scored on a steal of home.

In the top of the fifth the Rivermen scored two runs to take a 3-2 lead. Carter Syverson singled and scored on a Hudson Turner triple, whio then scored on a passed ball.

Cazenovia knotted the score at three when catcher Hewston Boland delivered Caz’s second homer of the day.

The Dells countered the Reds to retake the lead when a leadoff double by Cooper Whitehurst scored on a sac fly.

Thereafter, the pitching tightened things up and provided few scoring opportunities for either club.

Final score: Wisconsin Dells 4 – Cazenovia 3

For the Rivermen, the hit attack was pretty balanced as seven starters had at least one hit. Payton Steiner, Cooper Whitehurst, and Talan Pichler had two apiece and Cooper scored two runs.

Standouts for the Reds are credited to the pitcher-catcher duo that delivered two of Caz’s three runs with solo shots: Issac Jennings and Hewston Boland. It is worth pointing out the Reds pitching combo of Jennings and Aaron Heubsch combined for seven strikeouts without giving up a walk.

Lots of good photos from the game, manyu of which are not posted do to self-imposed limits on the number of photos displayed.

  • I probably have many more photos from the game. If you are looking for photos of a particular player, ask me.

  • I attend games per my schedule.  Upon request, I can make myself available to shoot specific ballgames for a reasonable fee.
  • I am always interested in adding to my Wisconsin baseball memorabilia collection – especially schedules, programs, photos, RPPC (real-photo) postcards, etc. Other unique items are of interest too, especially pre-1970.
