For the final game of my personal tripleheader, I finished up in Oakfield and motored down, legally of course, to Neosho to catch a matchup against Rubicon. This was a makeup from the rainout the day before.
Rubicon got the scoring started with two outs in the top of the 2nd. The next two batters singled and got a HBP, respectively. A KJ Banse double to right scored both baserunners. Rubicon added another run in the top of the 4th to make the score 3-0.
In the bottom of the 6th, Neosho got on the board when they scored a run on three straight singles. They added one more on a ground out to short.
Rubicon added two more runs on two singles and two walks in the top of the 7th.
Neosho threatened in the bottom of the 7th by getting runners on 2nd and 3rd with two outs, but ended the game on a strikeout.
Final score: Rubicon 5 – Neosho 2
